Things to follow and to avoid for TOGAF examinations

 

TOGAF is an Architectural Framework that is recognized widely in the industry and is used to create enterprise architecture. You need to pass the TOGAF exam if you want to get TOGAF certified. The steps are very simple, and by following a few do's and don'ts you can get prepared for the exams. 


Let us, first dive into the good things to follow: 

 

●     Try and remember all the terms that are provided in the study guide. The exams held usually tests the exact same terminology as mentioned in the study guide. TOGAF​ exam questions are given from the study guide.​      

●     You should read the official study guide again and again that is provided by the open group. You will easily pass the exam by reading from it. 

●     Practice additional questions and see whether you can solve them or not. The questions that are available with the study pack must be solved first. 

●     You should be capable of effectively tackling the time since it is often felt that the scenario-based questions are very long and take a lot of time. 

●     You are given paper and pencil at the exam, so it is advisable to just quickly draw the diagram before you even start writing the exam. Also, answer the ones you are clear about and know first, and then move to the ones you are unsure about. 

●     Clear all your doubts, until you have understood the topic by replaying the training session again and again, if you have attended any.

After looking at the points to follow while preparing for the TOGAF exam, we should have a look at some steps to avoid. 

●     Don't schedule the exam on weekends if possible. It will help you avoid the rush to a great extent. Try to schedule it on a weekday morning. 

●     Don't just jump to level 2 if you have not yet completed level 1. 

●     Do the preparations well in advance, and don't stay awake for the whole night just before the exam, or else, you may feel sleepy while writing your paper. 

While appearing for any standard certification, either DPBOK,​ or TOGAF, try to clear the​ exams so that you get certified with high-profile certifications.
